Are you owed secondary royalties?
Many cinematographers, editors, production designers and costume designers have royalties collected abroad that they've never claimed.
When films and TV shows are retransmitted, copied privately or streamed in certain countries, collecting societies gather payments for the creative heads of department who made them.
In the UK, Screen Craft Rights distributes this money to cinematographers, editors, production designers and costume designers. DACS and Directors UK cover other creative contributors.
Registration is free. If you have credits going back years, it's worth checking — the money is often sitting unclaimed.
